Stacking the Shelves

It's Saturday!!! Soooo time for a new STS :D
This meme is hosted by Tynga.
And here we can show you guys our new books. And I can tell you that I got 5 awesome newbies, 2 borought books from my niece and one of the books I borought from my grandmother
3 Of them I already read the first week in my new home because I didn't got internet.

Here are the books I borought from my niece (sorry my camera isn't working good anymore so that's why I get the photos from goodreads)

The white mare by Jules Watsone (the Dutch version)

Wildwood Dancing (Wildwood, #1)    The White Mare (Dalriada Trilogy, #1)

Evertrue by Brodi Ashton (if you didn't read this trilogy and you like retellings about persephone, you really should read it)
City of heavenly fire by Cassandra Clare (just got this one yesterday and I really hope it is a great ending in this serie)

Everneath (Everneath, #1) Everbound (Everneath, #2) Evertrue (Everneath, #3)

Such Sweet Sorrow City of Heavenly Fire (The Mortal Instruments, #6)

Sooo....what do you think about my stack? I am just smiling because it's so big. Love it.
And in a few weeks I hope to get another big stack of books because I am going to the boekenfestijn, a big event with books, books and more books in the Netherlands.

How big was your stack this week? Want to share it with me?
Have a great Saturday!! And enjoy the weather if you are on my side of mother earth ;)

Feature and Follow Friday

Alison Can Read Feature & Follow

Time for a new Feature and Follow Friday. This is a great meme to make some new blogger friends and to read about their thoughts :D

This meme is hosted by Parajunkee and Alison can read

This weeks quistion:

Question of the Week: How important is good writing to you? In an ideal world, a book would be beautifully written AND have great character development, plot, etc. But in the real world, which do you prefer: (1) Great characters and plot with lousy writing or (2) Middling character development and plot but gorgeous writing

My answer: I don't think it is really important how beautiful written a book is. It's nice to read a beautiful written book, don't get me wrong. But I think the story it self is more important. If I like the story, the characters and the plot is great a book is already beautiful for me. And I will recommend it to you, not because it beautiful written but because it's a great story =)

Want to share your answer with me?
I am very curious about it, because I know that there are people who aren't thinking the same way as I am.

Have a great friday!!

Waiting on wednesday is a meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the spine

And this week I was searching for a book to use in this meme. Because most of the books I am waiting for are already published but not yet on my shelf.

Crown of Ice

Thyra Winther's seventeen, the Snow Queen, and immortal, but if she can't reassemble a shattered enchanted mirror by her eighteenth birthday she's doomed to spend eternity as a wraith.

Armed with magic granted by a ruthless wizard, Thyra schemes to survive with her mind and body intact. Unencumbered by kindness, she kidnaps local boy Kai Thorsen, whose mathematical skills rival her own. Two logical minds, Thyra calculates, are better than one. With time rapidly melting away she needs all the help she can steal.

A cruel lie ensnares Kai in her plan, but three missing mirror shards and Kai's childhood friend, Gerda, present more formidable obstacles. Thyra's willing to do anything – venture into uncharted lands, outwit sorcerers, or battle enchanted beasts -- to reconstruct the mirror, yet her most dangerous adversary lies within her breast. Touched by the warmth of a wolf pup's devotion and the fire of a young man's desire, the thawing of Thyra's frozen heart could be her ultimate undoing.

CROWN OF ICE is a YA Fantasy that reinvents Hans Christian Andersen's "The Snow Queen" from the perspective of a young woman who discovers that the greatest threat to her survival may be her own humanity.

Sounds like a great book to me. What do you guys think.
And what is your book you are waiting for to read?

Day 1

Just yesterday I was working at my new house.
I am not a handyman(woman) but I did a good job for the first day. :) I think.
I clean the kitchen and I worked on the little room at my new house.
Ooooh I am sooo excited about today. My aunt and uncle will come to see my new home. And I can't wait to show it to them.
But first I want to show you what I did yesterday.
That means, photo's!!!!

So this is the small room...with the first coating on my wall. It's a new building so this coating you need to use because otherwise you can't do a good job painting. That is what they told me, I don't have a clue. I am not a dumb girl, but I never did anything like this. So it's all new to me and they can tell me anything. lol.

And this is my kitchen. Nothing special, but to me it is :D I am happy with it and I can store more now than I did before. Yeeeey for me!!!
So this was day 1.
And day 2 is starting in a few minutes.
So, see you later :D
