Q: Define what characteristics your favorite books share. Do they all have a kickass heroine or is the hot love interest the Alpha Male?

A: I like it when a girl can take care of her self. But I also like it to see a girl, like Bella in Twilight, to be a little helpless and in need of care. But most of the time she should be taking care of herself. Helloo? Independent woman :D
As for the male character, I like more than one type of guy. A few of them are real jerks, like Jace in 'The Mortal Instruments'. But I love some romance in a guy, like Daniel in 'Fallen', or Edward in 'Twilight'. Sigh...

What about you guys?

  1. I know how you feel, I do like a 'little' romance but not too much! A man has to b a MAN! ;)

And yes, girls ought to stick up for themselves!

Happy reading this COLD weekend! :)

  2. Romantic guys are awesome, I agree. But a jerk can be romantic too in some special cases you know? I'm most likely going to like that version more then the good guy being romantic, I dunno, I like conflicted and complex characters, strange circumstances and what they determine characters to do :D

Thanks for stopping by, following you back. Have a fab weekend!

  3. I think I liked Jace more because when he was sweet it seemed like Clary (and the reader) had earned a real treat--something he did not giveaway easily.

  5. Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving me a comment and a follow. I'm following you back. :) I don't post my cards anywhere on the internet. I suppose I feel like I have to pick a hobby to share and it's books. I just don't have time for anything else. Do you post cards somewhere? I do a lot of looking at cards online to get good ideas! :)

  6. Independent girl with a romantic guy hummmm, have you read the Mercy Thompson series? It's not YA but it's pretty PG for an Adult book.

  8. What else makes up your favourite books? I love strong females with some kind of weakness, but that they grow into, and good-looking male interests :) Happy reading!
